South High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.
Two students from Minnesota will join other seniors from each state and several other countries to share in active learning investigations, visit national research labs in Washington DC and interact with top scientists at a residential camp in the mountains of West Virginia.
Three weeks will be filled with camping, horseback riding, kayaking and other recreational activities. Past participants have stated that this is a life-changing, life-expanding experience.
The online application asks students to highlight science and math accomplishments and involvement in school and community activities.
It is due Feb. 28. This camp usually does not have many applications, so we encourage any interested student to apply.
