City Of Wayzata recently issued the following announcement.
We know the stay at home order has been challenging, especially for the kids who have had to cancel their birthday parties in order to keep everyone safe. The Wayzata Police Department has teamed up with the Wayzata and Long Lake Fire Departments to make birthdays extra special for these kids by offer a Birthday Patrol to kids who live in Wayzata or Long Lake.
To request a Birthday Patrol, parents or caregivers, should send an email to wayzatapd@wayzata.org. We ask for at least a 24-hour advance notice so we can make sure a police car and fire truck have plenty of time to roll by your home with the lights flashing to wish your child a very happy birthday. Grab your camera as you will want to capture the moment. We look forward to waving at all the birthday kids (6 feet away of course)!
