Tonka Bay home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Tonka Bay rose by $151,175 while total sales increased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $665,000 - a 29.4% increase over the $513,825 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in Tonka Bay in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Tonka Bay for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $6,040, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
