In recent years, the Vikings have made much progress in improving their facilities and investing in locations that will help them train and practice with the space and equipment that they need to perform at a high level.
This dedication to excellence culminated in 2018, when the new facility was unveiled, according to PR Newswire. The Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center complex is a 40-acre training facility that was begun in 2016 and provides the professional football team with a world-class place to train.
"This was an 'all in' type of job through all kinds of harsh weather. Our team worked through high winds, cold weather and very snowy conditions. Nothing stopped us. During the winter weather we used snow shovels and a crane to remove snow from the top of the structures. We just kept on working," Michael Mehrig, vice president of commercial sales for Central Roofing Company, said.
The roof features state-of-the-art material that makes it a feat of engineering almost unrivaled in professional sports.
