The second half of 2020: Bloomington experienced a 8.4% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Bloomington rose by $24,500 while total sales decreased by 54.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 277 homes sold, with a median sale price of $315,000 - a 8.4% increase over the $290,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 610 homes sold in Bloomington in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,580, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
