What happened to the median home price in Bloomington during the first half of 2022?

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Bloomington rose by $20,750 while total sales increased by 38.7 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 455 homes sold, with a median sale price of $360,000 - a 6.1 percent increase over the $339,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 328 homes sold in Bloomington in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,580, approximately one percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
