City Of Hopkins issued the following announcement on Oct. 13.
Yesterday evening, Alatus LLC held a ground breaking ceremony for Building A, the first phase of the redevelopment of 325 Blake Road. The ceremony celebrated the many partnerships that collaborated to bring the project to fruition, including Alatus, the City of Hopkins, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, the Metropolitan Council and Hennepin County Government.
Building A is a six-story, 116-unit affordable building (30 to 60 percent area median income (AMI) rental and income restricted units) with 75 underground parking stalls. The estimated completion date for the building is December 2023.
The full 325 Blake Road project includes a phased development consisting of 833 units of varying types of housing, approximately 18,000 total square feet of retail and commercial use pads, and public and private realm infrastructure that ties into the stormwater improvements and expansion of the Minnehaha Creek Greenway on the site by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.
