CITY OF MINNETONKA: Most days police officers strive to separate work and home

Dogs

City Of Minnetonka issued the following announcement on Dec. 01.

Most days police officers strive to separate work and home. But when your work is as cute as this, how can you not want to take it home?

Kaia, a nine-month-old German shepherd, is loving her new home with Minnetonka Police Officer Luke Troyak after she was found abandoned during a welfare check in August.

“We named her Kaia and have loved every minute with her,” Troyak said.

Kai, who was underweight when adopted, has thankfully put on weight and is now healthy and doing well. While she still struggles with some trauma from her experience, Troyak said “[Kaia] is currently loving her home with us.”
