Bloomington Kennedy High School issued the following announcement on Jan. 25.
We are excited to announce Kennedy's AAA Award Winners. The AAA is an award given out by each high school through the MSHSL and goes to students who excel in Academics, Arts, and Athletics. Each school submits their winners to their Region and the Region selects two students to move on to the State wide consideration.
Siri AndersonSiri has a 4.386 GPA, scored a perfect 36 on her ACT, named a National Merit Commended Scholar, and earned Academic All State honors. Siri has participated in Band and Orchestra all four years and Choir the past two years. She has been named All Conference for Band for three years and All State for Orchestra for the past two years. She has participated in Volleyball and Track and Field for the past four years, as well as one year of Tennis. She has been a captain for the Volleyball and Track and Field teams the past two years.
Davaughn LaneDavaughn Lane has a 3.995 GPA and has taken several AP classes during his time at Kennedy. Davaughn has been a member of the Kennedy Choir program for four years including earning a Superior Rating and All Conference Honors. He was selected to serve as President of Kennedy Chorale as a Senior. Davaughn has been a member of the Rhythm In Gold Show Choir for the past two years including being named a Captain for the Show Choir. Davaughn was a member of the Basketball Team for three years including being on the Varsity team his two seasons.
