Interested in serving your community as an elected official? Candidate filing for Bloomington mayor and city council offices will be open August 1 – 15. Bloomington residents who wish to run for office must submit an affidavit of candidacy and a $50 filing fee at the Bloomington City Clerk’s Office, located on the first floor of Bloomington Civic Plaza, 1800 West Old Shakopee Road. The November 7 ballot will include races for mayor, councilmember at-large, councilmember at-large (two-year term) and all four district councilmembers. Interested to see who has filed for office? Visit mnvotes.org and select “What’s on my ballot?”
