Eden Prairie Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Eden Prairie Public School District ranked eighth in the Hennepin County for test participation, with 4,126 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Eden Prairie Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 11.6% over the previous year.

Eden Prairie Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 68% in 2021-22 school year.

Fifth grade students stood out with 31% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, seventh grade students had the most room for improvement, with 22% not meeting the expected standards.

Eden Prairie Public School District encompasses schools within Hennepin County and has a main office in Eden Prairie.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
