Andrew Myers, candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives, announced his campaign and shared insights into his personal life and political philosophy through a series of social media posts in late September 2025.
On September 25, 2025, Myers declared his candidacy with a brief statement: "I am in!"
The following evening, on September 26, he posted about family activities: "Busy evening watching these two work hard. #crosscountry #volleyball" The tweet included references to youth sports.
Later that day, Myers addressed his approach to public service and political discourse: "I've always believed in putting public service over politics-and that hasn’t changed. I won’t add fuel to the fire, but I will work to turn down the heat. We may never extinguish the flames, but we can bridge the divide."
Myers' statements come as Minnesota prepares for its next legislative cycle. As a candidate for state office, Myers is positioning himself as focused on unity and reducing partisan conflict. His comments reflect ongoing discussions about polarization in American politics and efforts by some candidates to appeal across divides.
