City of Rogers issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.
Scam Alert! The Rogers Police Department has received numerous calls from residents stating they received a call from the police requesting social security information. The number is spoofed and it is not originating from us. We do not ask for social security information over the phone, and would never ask for money or payment in gift cards. If you provided personal information and believe you have been scammed, contact your local agency
