NINE MILE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT: Moir Park in Bloomington

River

Nine Mile Creek Watershed District issued the following announcement on April 24.

If you walked in Moir Park in Bloomington recently, you may have noticed these sticks poking out of the erosion fabric on the bank.

Called live staking, these cut willow branches are deliberately placed in the bank to help prevent soil loss as they grow.
