City Of Rogers issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
After very careful consideration, the Night to Unite event re-scheduled for October 6th has been canceled. Out of an abundance of caution, it is not prudent to encourage the types of behavior that we should be avoiding in this time of uncertainty with COVID-19 (neighborhood parties, sharing food, close social interaction, etc.). We are disappointed that we have to cancel yet another fun city event this year, but are excited to make next year’s event bigger and better!
Having said that, we still want to encourage community connectedness and outreach, therefore, we will be hosting a city emergency vehicle “parade” on Saturday, October 3rd. Police and Fire vehicles will drive on a designated route through several neighborhoods that afternoon, with specifics (times and route) yet to be determined. We will encourage residents to remain in their driveways and at a safe distance during this event. We are excited to try and make the best of what we can this year, and are excited to see you all on October 3rd! More details will be released in the coming weeks.
