CITY OF WAYZATA: Snow Emergency Declared and Important City Closures

City Of Wayzata issued the following announcement on Feb. 22. 

Snow Emergency Declared and Important City Closures

1. Due to weather, the City of Wayzata will be closing City offices on Thursday, February 23rd. All non-essential and in-person services will be closed and are expected to reopen on Friday, February 24th at 7:00 a.m., weather dependent. This includes our main City Hall offices and DMV services. All essential City services will still be available including police, fire and our snow plow operations. All staff that are able to work remotely will be available all day via email and phone.

2. Wayzata Bar & Grill and Wayzata Wine & Spirits will be closing early at 7:00 p.m. tonight, February 22nd and reopening Friday, February 24th. Normal Muni hours and operations will resume on Friday, February 24th, weather dependent.

3. Due to last night’s snowfall and upcoming snowfall, the City of Wayzata will be declaring a Snow Emergency Parking Ban on all public streets commencing at 2:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 23, 2023. This will allow city crews to plow the full width of all city streets. Please do not park on the street until the roadway is cleared to the full width. Additionally, the plow crews will be pushing snow to the south side of Lake Street, between Broadway Ave and Barry Ave. No parking will be allowed in this area until the snow has been removed.
